Full application hosting at the edge – More and more developers are exploring the thought of hosting their entire application at the edge.
Fastly now with the surge in usage, Cloudflare with its continued solid performance and upcoming cybersecurity products – and with both these, all of the potential both have NOW and in the FUTURE with their global edge networks.
Unlike Cloudflare, Fastly is fortunately more usage-based pricing within their CDN features, so that they are having a huge upswing in top line revenue at this time (bouncing from 38% to ~55%+ in this upcoming quarter).
They are excelling at this time because the more developer-friendly and nimble CDN.
The massive upsurge in internet usage over the past few months and likely the next several is really a huge sail within their winds at this time.
